Rose & Lyle is a joint collaboration by Phill and Mel Kenyon, both having been in the design and development industry for years. Our business partnership was formed over a decade ago with Rose & Lyle growing from our combined expertise and launching in 2015. All our products are designed in Melbourne, Australia and ethically sourced with our partners in India.

Phill trained and gained his experience in the leather trade in Collingwood and Northcote in the 80’s and 90’s. Beginning in footwear and later in design of leather and textile accessories working for leading retailers in the Australian market. Mel’s background began in textiles and then later in buying and design/development with larger Australian retailers.

The Rose & Lyle design process is simple. We appreciate beautiful things and so create our collections from the best raw materials using ideas and concepts that we love. While we consider the latest trends we don’t follow them directly, we have our own direction, using ideas from travel, people on the street, the amazing craftsmen we work with and most importantly, our customers.

We are proud of the integrity of our products. All our collections reflect an approach to design that considers style, function and feel. Our close working relationship with our overseas partners helps us create unique and authentic ranges, made following strict ethical standards for both manufacturing and the welfare of all their employees.
